Welcome, both young people and adults, to 203 Bretford’s dedicated website. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you something about the Army Cadet Force (ACF) and our unit which is in the Borough of Hounslow.

The ACF is a national, voluntary, youth organisation, sponsored by (but not part of) the Army, with a unique mix of adventurous, community, and military activities. We welcome young people between the ages of 12 and 18, both boys and girls, whatever their background, religion, or culture. We are also keen to hear from adults who feel that they could contribute to our vital work of developing young people.

Our aim is to inspire young people to achieve success in life, with a spirit of service to their local community, the Queen, and their country, all the while developing the qualities required of a good citizen in an inclusive, multicultural society. We try to retain the best of "traditional values", such as self-discipline and self-reliance, while at the same time embracing the best aspects of modern society.
At Brentford, we are essentially a "grass roots" organisation, with strong links to the local community, through such organisations as the British Legion and the Hanwell Carnival Committee. Although, for historical reasons, we are known as "Brentford" Cadets, we are, in fact, based in W5, and recruit from all over the Ealing area.

Take a few minutes to watch a video produced while we were on one of our unit weekends. I do hope that, after seeing what we have to offer, you will decide to join us.
